Common Questions
Why does the burn day change daily?
Burn days are regulated by Mojave Desert Air Quality Management Distrit. Permits are valid on days which agricultural burning is not prohibited.
What can I burn?
Yard Waste, tumbleweeds and campfires are the only permitted burns in the Twentynine Palms Fire District. Yard waste means cut grass, tree branches and yard trimings. You may not burn trash, tires, oil filters, construction/demolition debris, plastics, rubber motor vehicle bodies, tar, shop or household debris. Only clean dry firewood may be used in campfires.
